Your choice really, yes they took Epic exclusivity but at least only for early access, after that it will still be released in all other storefronts. It's a big spit in face of fans who supported first DD, like me, in EA. Whether it lives up to it's predecessor or not, that's another story which I have to find out for myself. Just like you, I do not want to spend money on Epic, that said if a game I think is interesting is here on Steam, then I'll buy it despite where they decide to release their game first. I don't think they did it with any malicious intent, maybe I'm wrong but at the end of the day they announced a release date here at Steam and I will buy the game here in the storefront of my choice. They are not a big AAA studio so they have to make a hard decision. The money they received from their deal with Epic probably helped with the cost of developing and finishing the game. At the end of the day Red Hook Studios still is a business and must make decisions that can help further their company whether that decision will be popular to the fans of the franchise or not. Part of me don't want to support this, as they milked epic money, sold it there, and now they're selling it here. Little dampened that it's so many months before it's purchase date, and that's assuming nothing goes wrong during their Epic Store exclusive time period to push release back.
